Religions act as binding nerves between people of a community as well as between communities. Their primary role is to remind us that we are all here temporarily, that none of us holds the almighty power and that without good deeds we would all quickly perish. In many ways they are communication tools - just like languages.

 We are all on the Internet for the same reason - gaining something.
